Canadian Citizen Salim Alaradi Free from United Arab Emirates
Arrival at Pearson Airport
After nearly two years of being detained in the United Arab Emirates, Canadian Salim Alaradi and his family have been reunited in Istanbul, Turkey, and will be arriving in Toronto Pearson Airport on Monday June 20th 2016.
After two weeks of medical assessments and care, physicians have cleared him for travel. Salim and his family will return to Windsor, Ontario, to settle in their home once more and spend the necessary time to rebuild their lives.
Salim and his daughter Marwa will make a statement at Pearson Airport Terminal 1 arrivals. They will continue their trip to Windsor Tuesday morning. Salim’s Canadian lawyer Paul Champ will be present to address any media questions.
